Our partnership with Mitacs supports graduate students and postdoctoral fellows across British Columbia to gain experience working within the life sciences sector. These Mitacs programs enable trainees to apply their research knowledge and expertise to address complex challenges by contributing to a research project with a life sciences company in need of high-level expertise. Mitacs builds partnerships between academia, industry and the world — to create a more innovative Canada. As a national, not-for-profit organization that has designed and delivered research and training programs for 20 years, Mitacs works with more than 100 post-secondary institutes, 6,000 companies, and both federal and provincial governments. Mitacs includes all research disciplines and has expanded in response to industrial and university needs, including programs in R&D management, professional skills development and international research training.
