- Clearly address the challenges of delivering care in rural and northern BC

- Include a Northern Health staff/medical staff as the primary applicant (PI) or co-applicant (Co-I)

Priority alignment
Proposed projects should demonstrate awareness of the current operational context of the health system, including workforce constraints, affordability pressures, and the need to deliver high‑quality care in more integrated, efficient, and sustainable ways.
While the call is intentionally broad, Northern Health is particularly interested in research that helps the system respond to current pressures, such as:
- Improving access and flow across acute, community, and long‑term care
- Optimizing how scarce health human resources are deployed and supported
- Reducing unwarranted variation or duplication in care while maintaining high quality care
- Strengthening shared, coordinated, or regionally consistent approaches to care delivery , demonstrating value and impact in a constrained fiscal environment
Important: Only selected ideas will be invited to submit a full proposal due February 1, 2027.
