Overview
Health Research BC and Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation are working together to support research and innovation that improves care across the Fraser Valley region. Through this collaboration, we’ve supported clinician-led and knowledge translation projects focused on strengthening patient and family experiences, improving communication in critical care settings, and enhancing chronic disease care. This includes projects like Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed’s initiative using AI-generated educational handouts to help families better understand ICU care.
Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation builds partnerships with individuals, local organizations, and businesses to support health care services within the Fraser Valley Regional Hospital District. Since 2000, the Foundation has helped raise funds and awareness to improve health care programs, services, and facilities serving the communities of Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Hope, Agassiz, and Harrison Hot Springs.
