Putting Patients First (PPF) is a conference hosted by the BC SUPPORT Unit, part of Michael Smith Health Research BC.

This event brings together key people in BC’s healthcare and health research system, including allied healthcare professionals, patient and community partners, researchers and trainees, and health system leaders, decision-makers and policymakers.

PPF 2026 was held on March 3, 2026. It continued the conversation on learning communities in BC. Together, we’ll explore how bringing diverse groups of people together to solve a shared health problem — including people with lived and living experience — can improve health and health research ecosystems.
