Dr. Yusuke Shiraishi is a urologist and postdoctoral research fellow at the Vancouver Prostate Centre, University of British Columbia. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. from Kobe University, Japan. His research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms that drive prostate cancer progression and treatment resistance, with particular interest in androgen receptor signaling, lineage plasticity, and neuroendocrine differentiation. His current work investigates the role of MAP1B in advanced prostate cancer using genomic, proteomic, and functional approaches to identify novel therapeutic targets. As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Shiraishi aims to bridge basic and translational research to improve treatment strategies and outcomes for patients with advanced prostate cancer.
