Tami Howe

Dr. Tami Howe is an Associate Professor in the School of Audiology and Speech Sciences at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Prior to obtaining her doctorate and post doctorate in Australia, Dr. Howe worked for several years as a speech-language pathologist with adults with neurogenic communication disorders in a variety of health care settings in Canada and New Zealand. Her research focuses on how adults with aphasia, a language disorder often caused by a stroke, and their family members live with the communication disability, with the ultimate goal of finding ways to improve their quality of life.
