Rebecca Bingley is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Nurse Practitioner (NP) program at the University of Victoria and a clinically practicing NP. Rebecca’s nursing background is in pediatric critical care and cardiac surgery, where she spent eight years working in Ontario and British Columbia. After completing her Master’s in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) in 2018, she worked in her local community, providing primary care and mental health and addictions services to vulnerable populations.
Rebecca’s research thus far has focused on identifying health disparities and establishing pre-operative guidelines for refugee children with heart disease, as well as on early-career nurse practitioner training, integration, and transition-to-practice programs.
