Dr. Mahsa Khalili holds a faculty position at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and an adjunct appointment at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her research focuses on developing human-centred digital health technologies to support earlier detection, improved clinical decision-making, and more equitable care for individuals living with disabilities and chronic health conditions. Her research focuses on the development and application of biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence, wearable sensing, and assistive technologies to address challenges in cardiovascular monitoring, mobility, and healthy aging. Dr. Khalili has led interdisciplinary research in healthcare innovation and the translation of technologies into clinical practice, including collaborations focused on improving patient safety and care delivery. Her research has been supported by Health Research BC, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and NSERC. Through collaborations with patients, clinicians, researchers, and health system leaders, Dr. Khalili aims to improve access to technologies that support better health outcomes and healthcare delivery across British Columbia.
