Colleen Inglis

Dr. Colleen Inglis is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia and a Clinical Pharmacy Research Specialist with Island Health Authority. Drawing on her experience as a clinical pharmacist, she develops, implements, and evaluates patient-oriented, community-based models of care that promote healthy aging and improve equitable access to health services, particularly for older adults in rural and underserved communities. Her research brings together patients, caregivers, community organizations, clinicians, and health system partners to co-design approaches that strengthen interdisciplinary care, optimize chronic disease management and medication use, and support aging in place. She also investigates educational strategies that foster empathy, communication, and patient-centred care among future health professionals. Through collaborative partnerships across academia, health systems, and communities, Dr. Inglis generates evidence that informs practice and policy and improves the health, independence, and quality of life of older adults and their caregivers.
