My research focuses on chronic pain, HIV, aging, substance use, and health equity, with the goal of improving the lives of people living with complex and chronic health conditions. Using epidemiological methods and linked population-based health data, I investigate how chronic pain influences health outcomes and healthcare utilization to generate evidence that informs clinical practice and health policy. My long-term research program aims to improve chronic pain care for underserved populations by integrating epidemiology, implementation science, patient engagement, and digital health innovation to develop more equitable, person-centred models of care.
