Chandra Berkan-Hozempa is the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Island Health and is responsible for the scaling up of the 2SLGBTQIA+ role within IslandHealth. She brings essential expertise to developing and implementing equity initiatives across the healthcare system. A subject matter expert in gender equity, Chandra leads this work at Island Health and is instrumental to supporting it’s inception and continuance.
