Kate Salters

Kate Salters (she/her), PhD, MPH, is an epidemiologist and population health researcher dedicated to building integrated, responsive health services that treat the whole person rather than isolated crises. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia and a Senior Research Scientist at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. In her role as Director for Innovation, Monitoring, and Evaluation at the Hope to Health complex in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, she leads research aimed at optimizing low-barrier health and harm reduction services to maximize value, ensure accountability, and reduce barriers for equity-deserving populations.
