My research focuses on building more connected and supportive communities for older adults and caregivers. Using mixed methods and community-based participatory approaches, my research program aims to better connect healthcare and community-based services to improve access, continuity of care, and system navigation across sectors.
My work combines population-based quantitative analyses with qualitative and community-engaged research to generate evidence that informs integrated models of care and supports healthy aging. I have extensive experience working with large longitudinal datasets, alongside collaborative partnerships with community organizations and people with lived experience.
Currently, I contribute to community-engaged research involving more than 40 senior-serving organizations across BC. Through these partnerships, we co-develop evidence-informed strategies and practical resources to strengthen organizational capacity, foster social connectedness and resilience, and improve community-health system integration for diverse aging populations. My long-term goal is to translate research into policies and practices that promote equitable and integrated systems of care.
