I am a Respiratory Therapist at Surrey Memorial Hospital, where I’ve worked since 2013 across adult, pediatric, and neonatal care. I spent two and a half years in the NICU, contributing to a quality improvement project that enhanced access to kangaroo care and skin-to-skin contact—presented at the 2024 EPIQ Conference. Currently, I serve as the Clinical Resource Therapist for the Respiratory Therapy Department. In this role, I lead practice initiatives, support staff education, and help align clinical care with evidence-based guidelines. I’ve been involved in policy development, procedure implementation, and multidisciplinary collaboration. I am also a certified Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) instructor with a strong interest in staff education, particularly in building clinical skills and confidence through supportive learning environments. This is my first formal role in Knowledge Translation, and I’m excited to contribute to initiatives that turn evidence into meaningful improvements in patient care.
